Welcome BBQ

Well Touchum's it's that time of year when our social calendar begins to pick up again, and what better way to start than with a good old barbeque?

After training on Thursday the 11th of March Touch UM will be hosting a BBQ just near the hockey pitch. Sausages, softdrinks, and if you remember your Touch UM keyring even a beer! From here we'll move to our local, Naughton's, for a few drinks and see where the night takes us!

If you haven't signed up yet and you want to, feel free to come along and sign up on the day! We will also have some Touch UMmerchandise available, including hoodies and singlets, for people who haven't yet purchased any.

Tickets selling on Tuesday

Tickets to our major fundraising party are selling fast so I encourage all of you to buy your tickets on Tuesday Before or After Training.  To buy your tickets see Mikey, Paul, Lauren or Tristan.  Remember that if you buy your tickets before the date you save $5 so get your friends confirmed and get their tickets as well.
 
Tickets are $10 so bring money and get your tickets.  The more people the better to make one loose night.

AGM/Pub Crawl Extravaganza

Just a reminder that we would like EVERYONE to come to our awesome social night on Tuesday. It will kick off at the Clyde straight after training at 7pm for our Annual General Meeting, during which we will vote in our 2009 committee, listen to how Touch UM has faired during the financial crisis, hear from our valiant President, eat yummy parmas and enjoy the company of everyone in the club. It won't take too long on the whole and will refuel you for a night out on the town, courtesy of our social co-ordinators, Mikey and Tristan.

Melbourne University Touch Club AGM and "Duathalon"

You are invited to the 2009 Touch UM Annual General Meeting and "Duathalon".
 
Date:             Tuesday 21st April 2009
Venue:          -The Clyde- cnr of Elgin and Cardigan Sts, Carlton
Time:            7pm - Late
 
Mark this in your diaries as being a very important night. It's after Tuesday night training so you may as well head on down. We will be voting in the new committee - all positions need to be re-elected. The AGM will be promptly followed by a 'Duathalon" (tour of beverage facilities in the local area) and will no doubt be an enjoyable night. It would be great to see as many Touch UM members along as possible so free up the night and show your support.
 
Attached is the agenda for the AGM as well as a detailed document that outlines each of the committee roles for 2009. If you have not registered your interest in the 2009 Touch UM committee and would like to, please contact Paul Rogers (Current President) ASAP as nominations for positions must be registered by Friday April 17th.

Max Smith in Dead and Deader

Here is an excerpt from the Melbourne Comedy Festival Guide. Max Smith (one of our new members this year) is performing in a show called Dead and Deader with two of his mates. He would love it if we could give him some support and get people along to his shows. If anyone is keen for a giggle and a laugh please get along to see him perform.
